For three days, from March 2-4 2011, the European Business Schools Librarians’ Group will be meeting at IESE’s Barcelona campus to celebrate its Continental Meeting 2011.

Libraries from several countries in Europe will participate, including those of EADA, ESADE, ESSEC, HEC Paris, IE, IMD, INSEAD, UNL – NOVA School of Business & Economics, Université catholique de Louvain, Université Paris Dauphine, the University of St.Gallen and  Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.

In the fast changing world we live in Business Libraries face an increasing challenge of keeping apace with all that is happening around them. Business Librarians need to reflect on how their role might change in the coming years as well as plan strategic actions to reinvent themselves in a way that allows them to better contribute to Business School excellence.

By identifying the most significant risks, key trends and opportunities facing them, Business Libraries will be better positioned to move forward. The central theme of the meeting is: “Rethinking the Library Model: New Solutions for New Scenarios”.
