  1. True, smartphone sales and tablet sales have indeed overtaken PC sales, at least here in Dubai. I wonder how 4G will revolutionize the IT sector. Quite impressed with what you mentioned. I wouldn’t agree less to most or rather all of your points. Good luck!

  2. Interesting topic, it is weird to think how we started out with main-frame systems with dumb clients, then we went to the isolated pc, then the server pc model, then the virtualized model and now we are moving toward the “cloud” which is more like the main frame dumb client model.

  3. I can’t wait until smartphones have good projectors. Imagine one with the ability to project a screen onto a whiteboard and a virtual keyboard in front of you.

  4. My iPad and iPhone have changed the way I think about and use technology, but I’m still very attached to my desktop PC. My ideal would be for greater integration between mobile devices and the PC.

  5. hi, PC is more powerful to work on a variety of what you need,
photo and video editing, building a web, however great a tablet still need a PC.

  6. What interests me is the how people use tablet pc and iphones etc, at the moment when users get home they still opt to using the traditional pc or laptop, possibly still giving more flexibility. Video media should have a big impact somewhere but we are in the early stages, lets wait and see what happens when tv’s have better internet control

  7. Easily, the publish is really the greatest on this laudable topic. I concur with your conclusions and will thirstily look forward to your future updates. Saying thanks will not just be sufficient, for the fantastic lucidity in your writing. I will instantly grab your rss feed to stay privy of any updates. Solid work and much success in your business enterprise!

  8. There is one small prose that I teach at school named “The Fun They Had” – set in the 22nd Century when 2 youngsters find a book and make jokes about all going to school together, reading the same contents on same pages while they were taught by a mechanical teacher (adjustable to an individual child’s intelligence). But soon they realize that – students in earlier period had better time as they have now.
The way technology is changing now – I don’t see our children waiting till 22nd century for mechanical life taking over our lives.
Compared to that – your insightful video is not too far ahead.

  9. Hi Kevin, I think so! Sitting in first row, participating a lot 🙂

  10. A far more interesting aspect is that we are experiencing the revolution 2.0.

Anyone can contribute to the Internet, just by a simple gesture such as editing at the Wikipedia.

Indeed, we have to adapt to work in a post-pc era, its more than obvious I beleive.

    Nice article.

  11. Very good point! I hadn’t thought of this change-over as the beginning of a “post-PC” era. The implications for those of us who run businesses via the internet, is that we need to be proactive in ensuring that we are ready for mobile devices since that’s where everyone is headed.
