IESE Business School is number one in the world for open-enrollment programs, according to the 2011 executive education rankings of the Financial Times. The rankings, which surveyed 65 top business schools across the globe, considered several key criteria, including quality of the different learning experiences, staff and student diversity, growth in business, and international reach.  IESE bested other state-of-the-art institutions such as the Harvard Business School and Arizona’s Thunderbird School of Global Management to claim top spot, a move up from its second-place ranking in 2010.  Learn more about the full rankings.

In an article accompanying the report, Financial Times statistician Michael Jacobs notes that IESE scored high marks in student satisfaction, international location, quality of facilities, level of follow-up offered to program participants, relevance of course content, measure of new skills and learning, and the diversity of its faculty and its partnerships with other executive education providers.

IESE’s open-enrollment programs in the US include the Advanced Management Program in Media and Entertainment (Media AMP).  The Media AMP, a first of its kind in the industry, is an intensive business education program aimed at preparing top-level, highly experienced executives to lead their media and entertainment companies.  In addition to its innovative curriculum and global focus, the program is taught by PhD-credentialed faculty reflecting 28 different nationalities, and features in-person appearances from renowned industry leaders and innovators at the program’s “Leadership Forums.” Recent speakers at the Media AMP Leadership Forums include Hearst CEO Frank A. Bennack, Jr., NBC News President Steve Capus, legendary venture capitalist Alan Patricof, and others. Learn more about the Media AMP.
