New York, NY March 14, 2011 – Top new media venture capitalist Alan Patricof, founder and past chairman of About.com Scott Kurnit, and Shubert marketing VP Charles Flateman are set to reveal the secrets of their success at the world’s first global Media AMP.
Also known as the Advanced Management Program in Media and Entertainment, the Media AMP is a major industry program that provides sophisticated management tools to prepare the next generation of industry leaders for the media and entertainment business challenges of the future. The Media AMP’s first set of participants include senior-level executives from 10 different countries around the world. The program, which is presented in four intensive one-week modules spread over six months, is jointly presented by top-ranked IESE Business School and industry thought leader The Paley Center for Media.
Patricof, Kurnit and Flateman will be featured at the Leadership Forums of the second module of the Media AMP, which takes place on March 14-19, 2011 at the IESE New York Center in Manhattan. The Media AMP Leadership Forums complement the program’s case-study-based classroom learning to give program participants the unique opportunity to network and interact in a private, intimate and personal setting with top industry leaders and entrepreneurs who are changing the face of the business. These off-the-record conversations enrich the program’s academic content by giving participants an inside look at the management challenges, victories and strategies that industry players face on a daily basis.
Recent speakers at the Media AMP Leadership Forums include Hearst CEO Frank A. Bennack, Jr., Chairman of NBC Universal Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media Lauren Zalaznick, and NBC News President Steve Capus.
The Media AMP began the first of its four one-week modules on January 31, 2011, with participants that include C-suite and upper-level executives from Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia and North America. Companies represented in the program include NBC Universal, Telecom Italia Media, Astro Media, Once TV Mexico and others.
