Looking for Family Business?

Need to identify family-owned companies? Use Orbis or Sabi databases. Both contain detailed information regarding company shareholders.

To create a list of family businesses go to either Orbis or Sabi. The main difference between the two databases is that ORBIS covers very large international companies while SABI focuses on companies located in Spain.

Click on “Ownership data” on the Home page and select the following criteria: “Companies owned by a shareholder” and then “Shareholder’s characteristics.” Then, select in a “Given type” the option “One or more named individual or families”.

You can either continue limiting your search by adding more criteria such as “Specific percentage of ownership”, “Company size” or “Geography”. Click on the “OK” button and then “View list of results”.
