Return to the #91 Newsletter

Over the past few years, as digitization has accelerated, the e-commerce landscape has become more and more dynamic. Innovative business models have transformed the buyer-seller relationship while pushing the frontier of what is possible to buy and sell online.

The gradual expansion of internet access and adoption, which quickened during the coronavirus crisis, has boosted the growth of digital commerce and spurred the creation of new firms, customers, products and business models. According to Gartner, the digital commerce software market grew by 17.3% in 2020. Similarly strong growth is expected for 2021.

The retail landscape has also changed, as customers have shifted from brick-and-mortar to click-and-order.

This issue of the Library Newsletter showcases a wide selection of resources available at the IESE Library to help understand the current growth trends and rising importance of digital commerce globally.
