The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank have just published a new report: Doing business in India 2009. The study finds that it is easer to start and operate a business now than it was three years ago in many large Indian cities. The report compares business regulations across 17 Indian cities and focuses on local regulations that affect 7 stages in the life of a small or mid-sized domestic enterprise. In conclusion, the study shows how government regulations and practices ease or constrain business activity.
