India, China and Malaysia placed first, second and third, respectively, as the most attractive destinations for offshoring activities in the latest edition of the Global Services Location Index (GSLI). The ranking is published by management consulting firm A.T. Kearney.
The GSLI analyzes and ranks the top 50 countries worldwide for locating outsourcing activities, including IT services and support, contact centers and back-office support.
The report reveals that while a sluggish recovery continued to create the kind of pressure for economies that drive business outsourcing, an increasingly complex global economic environment has led to major changes in the ranking of the most attractive offshoring destinations.
