The Asian Development Bank has just launched its annual economic publication, the “Asian Development Outlook 2011”. The report predicts that developing Asia will continue to expand solidly over the next two years, even as inflation, geopolitical uncertainties and the need to develop new sources of growth present looming challenges to policy makers.
The ADO 2011 forecasts regional GDP growth of 7.8 percent in 2011 and 7.7 percent the following year. The projected growth rates are lower than the 9 percent posted in 2010, but show that the region continues its firm recovery from the global economic crisis.
