The OECD has just published the sixth edition of “Health at a Glance.” The study provides the latest comparable data on different aspects of the performance of health-care systems in OECD countries. According to the report, the quality of medical care is improving in OECD countries, with higher survival rates for life-threatening diseases.
However, the study warns that there is a need for better prevention and management of chronic diseases, such as asthma and diabetes, with too many people unnecessarily admitted to hospitals.
For the first time, the report also features a chapter on long-term care.
The report is available for the IESE Community here.
