Fortune Magazine Announces its 50 Most Powerful Women in Business

Ginni Rometty, president and CEO of IBM, picks up top honors, followed by Indra Nooyi, chairman and CEO of Pepsico, in second place and Meg Whitman, President and CEO of Hewlett-Packard, in third.

The magazine compiles the list by ranking leaders by criteria that include the size and importance of the woman’s business in the global economy, the business’s health, the path of the woman’s career and influence on society and culture.
