Norway ranks 1st worldwide in terms of the retirement security of its citizens, according to a new annual index compiled by Natixis Global Asset Management (NGAM). Switzerland and Luxembourg trail in second and third place, respectively.
The Natixis Global Retirement Index gauges how well retired citizens live in 150 nations, based on measures of health, material well-being, finance and other factors. The humbling report places Western European countries far ahead of the U.S. in areas like health, finance, quality of life, and material well-being.
