(CC) Fábio Perez/FlickrApple tops Interbrand’s list of the world’s most valuable brands for 3rd consecutive year, boasting a brand equity value of $170,276 million. Following up in second, third and fourth place, respectively, are Google, and Coca-Cola, and Microsoft.

Ranking is based on a combination of attributes contributing to a brand’s cumulative value, such as the financial performance of the branded products and services, the role the brand plays in influencing customer choice, and the strength of the brand to command a premium price or secure earnings for the company.
