BMW (Germany) is the most sustainable company on earth this year, according to The Corporate Knights Most Sustainable Companies of 2016 list. It is followed by Dassault Systemes (France) and Outotec (Finland) in second and third position, respectively.
The Global 100 list is based on an extensive analysis of more than 4,600 major listed corporations. Global organisations with a market capitalisation above US$2 billion (S$2.9 billion) are eligible for the ranking.
The organisations were assessed on 12 indicators that measure the management of resources, employees and finances. They included productivity on energy, carbon, water, waste and innovation.
