Gavi – “La Caixa”: A Successfull Alliance to Promote Childhood Vaccinations

(CC) Brian Hoskins/FreeimagesThe Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (Gavi) was created in 2000 with the goal of providing access to vaccines to millions of children in the poorest countries of the world, with the help of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the participation of diverse countries and international entities. “la Caixa” made its first contribution to Gavi in the year 2008. Since then, it has been a member of the alliance, developing a collaboration program with Gavi that involves other stakeholders, as well as employees, private banking clients, corporate banking clients and individuals.
