As the final six months of the MBA are upon us, I find that I have a lot of things to be grateful for this past year. Being at IESE has been one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences of my life, and while it\u2019s had its ups and downs, it\u2019s definitely the good times that come to mind when I think about how this year has flown. So without further ado, and in no particular order, here are 50 reasons why I love the IESE MBA.<\/p>\n

1. My team \u2013 through good and bad, they\u2019ve always stuck by me, and it\u2019s been great getting to know every one of them.<\/p>\n

2. The chicas<\/em> at the MBA Office. Where would we be without you?<\/p>\n

3. Those greedy little turtles at the Turtle Pond.<\/p>\n

4. Caf\u00e9 con leche \u2013 your sole means of survival on a day-to-day basis.<\/p>\n

5. Basking on the terrace when it\u2019s sunny outside.<\/p>\n

6. Saying \u201chi\u201d to everyone in the lounge, the meeting place where work never gets done.<\/p>\n

7. The \u201csecret\u201d garden next to the IESE chapel \u2013 one of IESE\u2019s loveliest little jewels.<\/p>\n

8. Summer days relaxing on the steps or on the grass.<\/p>\n

\"50<\/a><\/p>\n

9. Contact lenses for chickens. If you have to ask, then you don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

10. The professors at in the department of Business Spanish \u2013 never met a nicer group of people.<\/p>\n

11. Pizza delivery \u2013 makes exam time studying oh-so-much better.<\/p>\n

12. DAT feeling when there\u2019s crema catalana<\/em> for dessert.<\/p>\n

13. Catching a glimpse of everyone\u2019s Hollywood side during the shooting of the leadership videos.<\/p>\n

14. Experiencing the Japanese sake tasting dinner \u2013 such organization. Much wow.<\/p>\n

\"50<\/a><\/p>\n

15. Cheap flights to ANYWHERE in Europe. #SecondYear<\/p>\n

16. Colors of autumn on campus. Oh so beautiful.<\/p>\n

\"50<\/a><\/p>\n

17. The diversity of mafias \u2013 Spanish, Indian, Korean, Japanese, Brazilian, etc.<\/p>\n

18. MultiCulti \u2013 the greatest celebration of diversity (and alcohol) ever known to MBAs.<\/p>\n

\"50<\/a><\/p>\n

19. The LEGO simulation. Who is the bottleneck in the process?<\/p>\n

20. Voting for a new COW every week \u2013 \u201cI don\u2019t like pepinos.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"50<\/a><\/p>\n

21. Feeling the twinge of pride every time I see the global MBA rankings.<\/p>\n

22. Our MBA Committee, tirelessly working to make this MBA a great experience for everyone.<\/p>\n

23. Epic guest speakers every month!<\/p>\n

24. Learning about \u201ccutting the woman in two\u201d in Managerial Accounting and how to \u201chold your horses, campe\u00f3n<\/em>!\u201d in Operations Management. Well, most quotes by our professors, anyway.<\/p>\n

25. That feeling when you hit Submit on the ABP report. Awwww yeah.<\/p>\n

26. Indian food in the cafeteria!<\/p>\n

27. The post-exam beer celebrations of the first year.<\/p>\n

28. Indulging in Ben and Jerry\u2019s when you want to give yourself a treat.<\/p>\n

29. The silence of the library for reading or taking a quick nap.<\/p>\n

30. The magnificent panoramic view of Barcelona from the North Campus.<\/p>\n

31. The feverish excitement of interview weeks following the Career Forum.<\/p>\n

32. Seeing hungover faces on Friday mornings in class and knowing who went to BoW the night before.<\/p>\n

33. Salad Ejecutiva<\/em> \u2013 the secret treasure of the North Campus menu.<\/p>\n

34. Hearing a mix of languages in and around campus everyday and secretly wishing you could speak them all.<\/p>\n

35. Watching our sports team kick butts at inter-school competitions!<\/p>\n

36. The IESE backpack \u2013 enough compartments to organize the most cluttered of lives!<\/p>\n

37. Our incredibly intelligent and amazing faculty \u2013 every professor with his or her signature quote, teaching style, and awesomeness factor.<\/p>\n

38. The meeting rooms with a view.<\/p>\n

39. The fact that every person here has such an awesome hidden talents and interests \u2013 musicians, artists, chefs, dancers, photographers and more!<\/p>\n

40. Teambuilding Day \u2013 watching everyone\u2019s ingenuity in the egg drop task.<\/p>\n

41. Our school logo \u2013 one of the sharpest and coolest-looking ones around!<\/p>\n

42. Writing the newsletter and being amazed every week by the amount going on.<\/p>\n

43. Being a good person, with some help and awesomeness from the Social Action and Responsible Business Clubs.<\/p>\n

44. Section A\u2019s Movember awesomeness.<\/p>\n

\"50<\/a><\/p>\n

45. The hilarity that ensued at the well-meaning boat party.<\/p>\n

46. Getting \u201crandom\u201d days off to enjoy Spanish holidays and celebrations!<\/p>\n

47. Watching everyone\u2019s inner Bollywood god erupt at the Diwali party.<\/p>\n

48. When everyone comes to school looking sharp, dressed in suits.<\/p>\n

49. Freebies at the Career Forum. #YouKnowYouDidIt<\/p>\n

50. Knowing that no matter what, where and how \u2013 I\u2019ve met an amazing group of people, made a number of lifelong friendships, and lived an experience I will never forget!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
