The Better Regulation Review in Germany is the result of a partnership between the OECD and the European Commission in the EU 15 Better Regulation project. The objective is to assess regulatory management capacities in the 15 original member states of the European Union. German policy over the last couple of decades has aimed at streamlining the regulatory state, reducing the bureaucratic machinery and simplifying the legislative environment.
