HR17_3_cover_small-232x300The happiest countries in the world are all in Northern Europe and they include Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. The least happy countries are Tanzania, Burundi and Central African Republic. Spain ranks 34th, according to the findings of the World Happiness Report 2017, commissioned for the recent United Nations Conference on Happiness (mandated by the UN General Assembly).

The report, the fifth one to come out since 2012, continues to gain global recognition as governments, organizations and civil society increasingly use happiness indicators to inform their policy-making decisions.
