Sweden was ranked the best place in the world for women in The US News & World Reports’ Best Countries survey, based on 9,000 respondents’ opinions and ranked among 85 countries. Denmark and Canada follow up in second and third place, respectively. Spain ranks 19th.
The ranking is derived from a compilation of five equally weighted country attributes: care about human rights, gender equality, income equality, progress and safety.
