Denmark was ranked the best place in the world for women in The US News & World Reports’ Best Countries survey, based on 9,800 respondents’ opinions and ranked among 73 countries. Sweden and Netherlands follow up in second and third place, respectively. Spain ranks 17th.
The ranking is derived from a compilation of five equally weighted country attributes: care about human rights, gender equality, income equality, progress and safety.
