Biography

Stefano Sacchetto is an Associate Professor in the Financial Management Department at IESE Business School, University of Navarra, as well as Research Fellow at the Center for International Finance (CIF) and at the Public-Private Sector Research Center (PPSRC). He is Co-Director of the Citi-IESE Credit and Debt Markets Research Project (CREDET).

Stefano holds a Ph.D. and M.Res. in Economics from London Business School, a M.Sc. in Economics from Bocconi University, and a B.A. in Business and Economics (Laurea in Economia Aziendale) from the University of Turin. Before joining IESE, he was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.

Stefano’s research focuses on corporate investment and financing decisions, and in particular on mergers and acquisitions. His research has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Financial  and Quantitative Analysis, and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control.

Stefano teaches Corporate Finance, Operational Finance, and Corporate Restructuring in IESE’s MBA and MiM programs, and doctoral-level finance courses in IESE’s MRM program.
