How can I get company financials by geographic segment? You can use various databases to access this information:

– Capital IQ: Go to Capital IQ and search for the company name in the search menu at the top. Click on the appropiate company from the result list, and in the Financials/Valuation section of the left-hand menu, select “Segments”. To retrieve a graph, click on the icon in the Fiscal Period column.

– Orbis: Go to Orbis and enter the company name for which you want to retrieve geographic segment data in the “Find a Company” search box. Click on the appropriate company from the results list to access the company summary. Check the left-hand navigation menu for “Financials for listed companies” and click on “Segment Data – Geographic Segments” to obtain the revenue and assets broken down by geographic regions. Please note that financial data can go back as long as 20 years if available.

– Refinitiv Workspace for Students: Go to Refinitiv Workspace and enter the company name in the search box. On the menu bar at the top of the page, select “Financial,” and then click on “Segments.” You can access Refinitiv Workspace using the PCs available at the Barcelona (Financial Room) or Madrid Libraries.
