I am a Professor of Finance at IESE Business School, the co-academic director of IESE’s Master in Finance, the co-director of IESE’s Center for International Finance, the academic director of Citi-IESE CREDET, and a research fellow at the IESE Banking Initiative, the IESE Center for Corporate Governance, and IESE’s Public-Private Research Center. Moreover, I serve as the treasurer of the European Finance Association (EFA).

My recent research projects explore the various channels through which banks impact the real economy, the dynamic interplay between public institutions and banks, the corporate governance within financial institutions, and regulatory practices in the banking sector.

I am teaching Banking, Corporate Finance, Valuation, and Operational Finance, in IESE’s MBA, MiM, Executive MBA, Global Executive MBA, and executive education programs.
