In just one week the IESE Women in Business Club is hosting the first ever Women in Leadership conference, Strides to Success. The inaugural conference brings in top executives from different industries and will be discussing the business issue every company is looking at: gender balance.
With this year’s theme we are challenging our delegates to join the conversation about women in leadership, and making it known that gender equality is a shared responsibility across genders and generations. Our ultimate goal is to provide delegates with an opportunity to explore a variety of professions, embrace challenges, and embody confidence while pursuing their career goals.
What can you expect?
We have worked hard to secure speakers from a wide range of diverse industries. For example, Ana Alonso, director at Microsoft, will be giving us her take on the role of women in technology and Patrick Gaonach, Iberian Zone President at Schneider Electric, will tell us about the company’s gender balance journey, with a focus on his own experience as a leader across several countries.
We also have Carolina Schmidt, former Minister of Woman Affairs and later Minister of Education of Chile, who will share the main learnings from her experience in both the private and public sector. Of course we have our very own IESE Alumni Carlota Pi Amoros to share her perspective on leadership in a startup business. Cristina Badenes will be participating in a discussion panel in which we are looking to explore what are the main challenges the financial sector is facing in closing the gender gap. In addition, Eghosa Oriaikhi will be addressing the big question: How do we involve more men in the conversation?
You can find more information on the speakers at the event’s website.
