The consequence and at the same time the cause of four technologies (smartphones, cloud computing, pervasive video and social media) is the commoditization of IT, where consumers are more savy about the use of technology in their dayly life. This trend is having an impact in the role of IT departments inside companies. More and more, the role of IT should not be mainly an operational role in charge of running systems and process but a real enabler of innovation inside the organization. In other words, Information Technology as the main driver to business transformation.
