While many people thought Facebook would launch its own phone, rather than get into the hardware business it launched the Facebook Home app for Android phones, says Prof. Josep Valor. This allows you do to anything from the phone interface even when the phone is asleep, giving Facebook valuable information that will allow it to develop more targeted apps and monetise your phone use.

The Facebook UI Design Interface are really disapointed especially with the Image View on Profile Page Hirarchy, –
I don’t like new FB Home…
Facebook have to focus on improving its social media.
I think it’s smart that facebook didn’t launch it’s own phone. the money is in the software. 🙂 but the faceboook home concept is interesting.
Smart move, but Facebook Home destroys any notion of privacy. Facebook will be able to track your every step and every little action.
For example the phone’s GPS sensor could mean that Facebook will always know where its users are and access to the motion sensor could even show whether the person is moving or stationary.
Good idea Facebook by concentrating only on the software part, getting into hardware is tricky job, they have expertise in software so they must focus on that
Facebook should launch its own phone, search engine and more apps for all mobile phones.
Smart move on Facebook not getting into the hardware business but launching an app is a great idea to give a new way for users to interact and use Facebook
They should leave the making hardware to Apple. I just read an article that Microsoft is planning on making a Smart Watch. What could go wrong there!? lol
